Yes I think wifi analyzer is the easiest solution, it allows me to check the wifi in different places around the flat and find the best channel. (check at the end of this reply for a fast Linux solution) by the way, thanks as well for the suggestion, but I am using Linux and in general I prefer more open source solutions. I never have any wifi issues, currently running r34080 on a wrt3200. I always leave mode set to mixed and very important if you read around, set the channel, do not leave at auto. With this I get good performance and wireless never drops. Keep in mind that the environment plays a very important role in how well wireless works in a given location.
